    <content type="html">Last night Lisa and I went to see Avatar.&amp;nbsp; Great story, wonderful visuals.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After watching it, I realized a part of the story was familiar, no I don't mean the complaints that it is a summary of all of James Cameron's stories, just the idea of a handicapped individual controlling a powerful body at a distance.&amp;nbsp; When I returned to home, I checked my old sci-fi books and found it, a short story by Poul Anderson written in 1957 called &lt;em&gt;&lt;u&gt;Call Me Joe&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&amp;nbsp; A story about a handicapped scientist named Edward Anglesey who controls an artificial life form named Joe on Jupiter.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, Avatar is a great movie.</content>

    <title>Tadpole Report</title>

    <content type="html">I went back to look at the progress the tadpoles had made and discovered that the culvert that the ditch supplied had been replaced with a new one and the folks who did the repairing decided to dig out the ditch in order to make it deeper and clean it out.&amp;nbsp; It's now dry and no signs of any water for any survivors to hide out in.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What a bummer!</content>

    <content type="html">This morning thunderstorms rolled through at about 3:15 and again at 5:30.&amp;nbsp; The wind picked up both times and the sound of rain on the roof was very relaxing.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first strom caused Loki to dive under the bed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now the air smells fresh and clean.</content>

    <content type="html">Only 7 dinosaur fossils have ever been found in New York State, and all 7 were foot prints. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The reason is that due to erosion and glaciers, the dinosaur level of rock has been eroded out of most of the state.</content>

    <content type="html">On of the things I'm not too thrilled with about my little thermometer is that it only remember's the high and low temps and humidity of the current day as define by the Atomic clock.&amp;nbsp; Last night when I went to be, the temperature had dropped to 0.6, this morning it indicated that the lowest temperature since 12:00 pm was 4.8 (it's currently 13.6)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh well, can't have everything in a clever little device.</content>

    <content type="html">The low temp was a new record for the TARDIS,&amp;nbsp; -5.8 degrees and a high of 14.4 degrees.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday while driving to work I saw this horse covered with snow and tolerating the frigid temperatures.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3483/3201871385_4124ec514b.jpg?v=0" alt="" /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He's pretty robust and the cold didn't seem to be giving him too much problem.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;</content>

    <content type="html">&lt;br /&gt;While browsing through the Universe Today website, I came across an article that points out that two impact craters have been discovered by using Google Earth.&amp;nbsp; A geologist looking for iron ore found one in West Australia, and it is now named Hickman Crater after him.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A 19 mile wide crater was discovered in the same way in the Sahara Desert a few years ago.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is the article for those who are interested.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.universetoday.com/2008/03/19/geologist-finds-a-meteorite-crater-in-google-earth//"&gt;www.universetoday.com/2008/03/19/geologist-finds-a-meteorite-crater-in-google-earth//&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I find that interesting that Google Earth has become an instrument of discovery.</content>
